Performer

Bio

Emma Anne Wedemeyer is a 2020 BFA Graduate from The University of Florida: School of Theatre and Dance. 

While a student, she served as one of the Center for World Arts/Harn Museum: Choreographer in Residence.

Along with performing in faculty works she has performed in guest works by Douglas Gillespie, Daniel Gwirtzman, Maria Gillespie, Rennie Harris PureMovement, and Keith Thompson. During the summer of 2017, Emma was apart of the American Dance Festival’s annual Footprints concert where she performed a world premiere piece by Shay Kuebler (Kidd Pivot). Emma was also apart of a series of music videos directed by Omri Drumlevich during the fall semester of 2018 apart of the FSU/NYC program under the direction of Sally Sommers.

In the spring of 2019, Emma served as the rehearsal assistant for the restaging of José Limón’s The Traitor under the direction of Dante Puleio. Emma has attended Bates Dance Festival,  the American Dance Festival, StaibDance Atlanta summer intensive, the Ate9 intensive to name a few. 

 

Currently, Emma is interested in exploring film, dance theatre, and innovative site specific works. She is inspired by Immersive Theatre shows such as Third Rail Projects Then She Fell and Punchdrunk's Sleep No More.
